Welcome to The Almondbank Inn Restaurant and BarThe Almondbank Inn, dating from Victorian times, is situated in the village of Almondbank in the parish of Methven, Perthshire, Scotland. Almondbank as the name suggests, sits on the banks of the River Almond, 4 miles north-west of the city of Perth. This river once fed the bustling textile manufacturing industry which flourished in the village in the 18th and 19th centuries. Almondbank is now a peaceful residential satellite of Perth. The landlord and owner, Tommy Campbell, is a retired Scottish football manager. He has introduced a "football theme" to the Badger's Bar which has been decorated with football strips bearing famous players' signatures. The bar and restaurant are run very much as a family affair with Tommy's wife and family supporting the regular staff at weekends and evenings. The restaurant specialises in providing imaginative daily menus and has an extensive wine list. The large picture windows in the restaurant overlook the Inn's tidy beer garden which leads down to the riverbank and a riverside walk. So, if you are looking for a quiet, friendly drink in relaxing surroundings or are in need of good quality freshly cooked food, please visit us at The Almondbank Inn where we will be pleased to welcome you. |
